About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to help establish and lead an innovative Mental Health Multidisciplinary Team designed to support people with complex mental health needs in primary care settings.
The Advanced Practitioner is the senior clinical authority within the MHMDT and combines advanced clinical practice with multidisciplinary leadership, workforce development, clinical governance and service design / innovation. While maintaining a small caseload of the service's most complex presentations, the role's primary focus is to influence clinical practice, strengthen workforce capability, support quality and safety, and contribute to the ongoing development of the MHMDT model.
We are seeking a practitioner who is recognised for their advanced clinical expertise and their ability to influence systems, develop people and lead change. This role offers the opportunity to help shape contemporary mental health service delivery while making a lasting impact on clients, clinicians, services and communities across regional South Australia.

The Advanced Practitioner position is currently offered under an individual Common Law Contract, with remuneration determined by reference to the responsibilities of the role and the successful applicant's qualifications, experience and advanced practice capability. As the role matures and becomes embedded within FocusOne Health's workforce structure, the organisation intends to pursue incorporation of an Advanced Practitioner classification within a future Enterprise Bargaining Agreement.
