FocusOne Health is a locally run not for profit organisation providing a range of programs and services that aim to raise awareness and improve health outcome of the community. Working in partnership with a broad range of organisations and service providers to deliver integrated and coordinated health services to the community (including General Practice, medical specialists, allied health services and state government health services). An integrated approach is taken to support individuals in prioritising their health and wellbeing. FocusOne Health predominantly provides its services in the Riverland, Limestone Coast and parts of the Murray Mallee.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest to serve as a Member of the FocusOne Health Board. The FocusOne Health Board of Management oversees the strategic, compliance and ethical obligations of the organisation, ensuring that FocusOne Health is fulfilling responsibilities with respect to:

  1. Setting the strategic objectives and direction for the organisation.

  2. Monitoring the performance of the organisation against strategic and annual plans.

  3. Supporting the Chief Executive Officer to ensure that operational management of the organisation is effective.

  4. Making strategic, ethical or compliance decisions on behalf of the organisation.

  5. Being accountable to the membership of the organisation.

Successful applicants will be required to attend and actively contribute to 6 Board meetings per annum and be a participant of nominated board subcommittees. The FocusOne Health Board roles are for a term of up to 2 years. The positions will attract remuneration in recognition of the Director’s time and expertise, travel costs (accommodation & kms) reimbursed in line with policy.

In accordance with the South Australian Child Safety (Prohibited Persons) Act 2016 and the Children and Young People (Safety) Act 2017, the successful applicant will be required to attain both a National Police Clearance and a Working with Children Check.
