About the Role

We are seeking a Peer Support Worker to join FocusOne Reach, a new multidisciplinary mental health service designed to provide coordinated, person-centred support for people experiencing more complex mental health needs across the Riverland.

This is an opportunity to help shape a new service from the beginning. Working as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, you will draw purposefully on your own lived or living experience of mental health challenges and recovery to build connection, foster hope and support people to identify what matters to them.

You will bring a perspective to the team that is uniquely grounded in lived experience. Through peer relationships, advocacy and collaboration, you will help ensure that the person's voice, preferences, strengths and experiences remain central to their care. You will work alongside mental health clinicians, an Advanced Practitioner and Social and Emotional Wellbeing Worker, while maintaining the distinct identity, values and boundaries of peer practice.

The role will contribute not only to people's individual recovery journeys, but also to the development of FocusOne Reach itself. Your lived experience perspective will help shape how the team works together, how people experience the service and how recovery-oriented, culturally safe and person-led practice is embedded from the outset.

FocusOne Health will provide a supportive environment for your peer practice, including access to peer supervision, professional development and opportunities to connect with the broader peer workforce.

We welcome people with diverse experiences and perspectives and strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

The successful applicant will be remunerated in accordance with FocusOne Health’s Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) dependent on skills, experience, and qualifications. We offer flexible terms and conditions and attractive salary packaging arrangements. For more information about salary packaging, please visit Discover salary packaging - Community Business Bureau (cbb.com.au).

Comprehensive onboarding and induction to the role will be provided to the successful applicant.

We reserve the right to appoint to the role prior to the application closure date.
